No, it’s not Scott McClellan endorsing Obama. We saw that one coming light(worker) years away.
No, this shocking endorsement is from the New York Times of all places. Shocking because it’s only three pages long.
In the same time, Senator John McCain of Arizona has retreated farther and farther to the fringe of American politics, running a campaign on partisan division, class warfare and even hints of racism.
I would have bet on at least five. Preston, I owe you a Coke.
And the NYT owes me a pair of glasses so I can see the same campaign they’re seeing.
For perspective, here was the Times endorsing McCain earlier this year:
Senator John McCain of Arizona is the only Republican who promises to end the George Bush style of governing from and on behalf of a small, angry fringe (ed. – read “the majority of voters”). With a record of working across the aisle to develop sound bipartisan legislation, he would offer a choice to a broader range of Americans than the rest of the Republican field.
In 2006, however, Mr. McCain stood up for the humane treatment of prisoners and for a ban on torture. We said then that he was being conned by Mr. Bush, who had no intention of following the rules. But Mr. McCain took a stand, just as he did in recognizing the threat of global warming early. He has been a staunch advocate of campaign finance reform, working with Senator Russ Feingold, among the most liberal of Democrats, on groundbreaking legislation, just as he worked with Senator Edward Kennedy on immigration reform.
That doesn’t make him a moderate, but it makes him the best choice for the party’s presidential nomination.
Tails we win, heads you lose. Of course, to them Bill Ayers is the moderate Weather Underground terrorist. Ayers who is only associated with Obama because “Republicans have linked him to domestic terrorists”.
Ummm…no. He did a good enough job of that on his own and with his wife being hired by Ayer’s wife Bernadine Dohrn at the law firm where they met. And launching his career in Ayers’ home. And writing a glowing review of Ayers’ book.  And organizing Annenberg to donate tens of millions of dollars to indoctrinate school kids with their radical leftwing agenda.  And Ayers going to meet Chavez four times who was backing FARC rebels who just happened to have information about Obama and the gringos working with them on their laptops when they were killed.
Sorry. That’s me linking him to international terrorists.
But other than that, yea. The Republicans linked him to a domestic terrorist.
